In their own words

  • DIGITAL TRAVEL IMPROVEMENTS: Calgary Airports recommends that the Government of Canada take steps to introduce improved digital travel technologies via regulatory changes around digital ID and biometrics, reforms to practices of CATSA and CBSA for increased efficiencies, and dedicated funding to advancing the implementation of innovative technologies.
  • TRANSPORTATION & AVIATION REGULATORY REFORMS: Calgary Airports recommends that the Government of Canada undertake a regulatory review of the entire aviation ecosystem with the goal of modernizing the sector and making it more globally competitive. This would consider costs to the system, competitiveness, and affordability in air travel.
  • AIRPORT LEASE MODEL REFORMS - The Calgary Airport Authority recommends that the Government of Canada exclude non-aeronautical revenue from the ground lease rent formula to allow for Canadian airports to invest these retained funds into maintenance, infrastructure, and debt repayment.
