In their own words

  • Discussions regarding a request for financial support from the federal and provincial governments to bring new processing capacity to life in Ontario. The funding would be used in partnership with the dairy industry to help build a new processing facility in Ontario and modernize aging infrastructure.
  • Ask government to ensure that both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) have the resources and training programs they need to adequately enforce dairy regulations and production standards.
  • Advocating that the federal government maintain funding where possible and ensure continuity of dairy research and that no negative impacts occur to dairy research as a result of recent funding cuts.
