In their own words

  • Seeking the Government of Canada's permission for a two-year pilot project to conduct field testing for CO2 and H2 pipelines (100 m to 300 m lengths) at CFB Suffield. There are currently no North American field testing facilities for CO2 and H2 pipelines. CO2 and H2 pipelines are integral to Canada's interest in decarbonization.
  • Given the emergent national discussion associated with the need to build Canadian energy infrastructure in response to U.S. tariffs and political instability, ECC is developing its recommendations to rebuild investor confidence in Canada's pipeline industry.
  • Canada Energy Regulator Onshore Pipeline Regulation consultation, with respect to potential changes to that regulation as they impact federally regulated pipeline owners. Issue-specific consultations are to commence in 2024.
