In their own words

  • Programs and policies primarily addressing built heritage. These include the National Cost-Sharing Program for Heritage Places (Parks Canada), the Canada Cultural Spaces Program (PCH), and the Celebration and Commemoration Program (PCH). We have asked for additional funding to be made available in these program or for changes in structure to privilege certain kinds of projects. We also sometimes apply to these program but so far have never lobbied related to those applications.
  • Historic Places legislation - a Historic Places Act bill died on the order paper in the last parliament. We would like to see this legislation reintroduced with some changes. The purpose of the act is to protect historic places in federal jurisdiction.
  • Engagement with federal officials regarding the transfer of responsibility for the Canadian Register of Historic Places to the National Trust. This would include a one-time endowment (grant) to the National Trust of Canada.

Meetings from the Commissioner of Lobbying of Canada. Canada does not require lobbyists to disclose what they spend, so there is no lobbying budget to report here — only the meetings they filed.
