In their own words

  • WoodGreen will be advocating for an extension and further investment into the Affordable Housing Fund (AHF). Increase funding and grant ratios for the Affordable Housing Fund. Advocating for the federal government to create a standardized hybrid financing pathway for partnership projects between non-profits and private housing developers. A hybrid financing pathway would provide an official process for partnership-based projects where grants and loans could be co-stacked. Advocate that AHF remains under CMHC and Build Canada Homes (BCH) operate as a special operating agency.
  • Lobbying for the withdraw of Bill C-2 Strong Borders Act and Bill C-12 - An Act respecting certain measures relating to the security of Canada’s borders and the integrity of the Canadian immigration system and respecting other related security measures.
  • Continued support for the Resilient Futures project. This is funding towards proven, free, high-quality financial empowerment services, such as tax filing, benefits access assistance, and financial coaching and counselling across Canada.
